There’s something about nature that never gets old. I’ve been at the same spot a hundred times and still find something new to capture. The way the sky changes color in an instant, or how light filters through trees, or the stillness of the world right before it rains. Photography gives me a way to hold onto those moments, to capture them just as they are. Sometimes I’ll be out walking, and the light will hit just right, or a fog will roll through, and I’ll feel this urgency like I have to take the photo before it all disappears.

I think that’s why nature and skies show up so often in my photos. There’s a peacefulness to it. Nature doesn’t pose. It just exists. And when I’m behind the camera, I get to see it as it is. Some of my favorite shots happened when I wasn’t planning anything at all. I was just in the right place at the right time. That unpredictability is part of the fun. It reminds me to slow down and really look at the world around me.
